About CEC HydroDynamics and Rescue

Created on the 14th of September, 2017, CEC HydroDynamics and Rescue is a group of young adults uniting from three different high schools:

  • Newnan High
  • Northgate High
  • East Coweta High

that meet at the Central Educational Center in Newnan, Georgia. Our goal this year was to build a robot to rescue civilians, put out fires, and retrieve toxic chemicals. Our hard work and dedication has paid off in the form of the C.H.R.I.S. 2001, which stands for Collaboration, Heroism, Robotics, Inspiration, Safety. We decided to name C.H.R.I.S. 2001 after factors that the robot will encounter when saving civilians from fires. Since 2005, the Central Educational Center has been competing and problem solving under the BEST Robotics banner.
